Yesterday we decided to go have a cocktail at the Blue Crane here in Pretoria. Now this is a very nice restaurant. Its on the edge of a small dam, with lots of ducks swimming about and splashing in the water.
We got there at about 12pm, and ordered cocktails. I had Sex on the Beach, and my girlfriend had a Margarita. After browsing through the menu, we decided that we were not going to have anything to eat, even though the menu did have a few very tempting items.
We sat outside on the top level (its a double story building) and enjoyed a very nice and peaceful view of the dam below. It was obviously quite hot, but luckily there were huge umbrellas that provided some form of shade. (hehe, it was hilarious when this one lady did the tantrum thing when the sun shifted, and she was now sitting in the sun!)
Anyway, we decided to have some cheesecake, which I would highly recommend! It was very creamy, absolutely delicious, and it wasn't like a tart, it was a good old fashioned baked cheesecake. Very enjoyable!
Our bill totaled about R75 (just above 10 US Dollars, about 7.60 Euro and 5.20 British Pound) which included the tip already.
