Since yesterday was a public holiday, we decided to drive to Hartebeespoortdam and relax a bit...
I'm not gonna bore you with what we did and all, so I'll start with Cafe Panini. We visited a snake and bird park, and after strolling through there for quite a while, we found ourselves to be pretty famished! Just across the street we saw a row of little shops and restaurants, and Cafe Panini caught our eyes.
Its it quite high up, and we sat outside on a balcony with a very nice view of the dam. To drink I had a regular soda, and my girlfriend had fresh pineapple juice, which was just what the doctor ordered to quench our thirsts.
To eat, I ordered a Cheese and Bacon Burger, and my lovely girlfriend ordered a Mushroom Burger. It didn't take long to prepare, and we were quite surprised with the very generous portions they offered! And the beef patties are homemade, and were very delicious! I must admit that this was going on my top 10 list of burgers!
So if you're ever in Hartebeespoortdam, and find you have an uncontrollable craving for some excellent burgers, don't hesitate to go to Cafe Panini! Definately worthwhile!
Our bill total was ZAR 107.25 (about 14.70 US Dollars, 11 Euros and 7.50 British Pound). This, once again, included the usual 10% tip. A bit steep for 2 burgers, but definitely worth it!
