Fancy dinner at Donatellos

Hi all you eaters out there!

Two nights ago (I wanted to do this post yesterday, but us living in South Africa have certain disadvantages, our telephone operator company being one of them, and we had no connectivity the whole day) was a special occasion, so I decided to look for a very fancy and elegant restaurant to go dine at...

So I asked ye old faithful google to help me, and luckily without too much of a search expedition, I found a very nice place called Donatello's which is right next to the Centurion Theater here in Centurion, Pretoria. So I quickly got in my car, drove over there and made a reservation (yup, a very fancy place, with a dress code too!).

So I went to pick up my absolutely stunning girlfriend, and took her there. When we got there, the place was packed (lucky for the reservations!) and there was a show on at the theater too. Anyway, we were seated at this very nice table with a white table cloth, and our waiter (Johannes) handed us our menu's and gave us some time to decide what we want to drink...

We ordered a bottle of red wine, and Johannes recommended the snook starter, which we decided to share (we wanted to save some room for dessert after our main course). It was absolutely to die for! Very nice indeed!

For a main course I ordered a 300 gram Rump Steak with a cheese sauce, and my lovely girlfriend ordered the Chicken Supreme. We were both very happy with our food, and enjoyed the evening thoroughly! Afterwards we had some chocolate mouse, and that was the very BEST chocolate mouse I have EVER had!!!

So that rounded off the evening excellently and we departed very happy and content!

Our bill was a bit steep, but I didn't expect a cheap place so I gladly paid! ZAR 340 including tip (that being 46.75 US Dollars, about 35 Euros and just below 24 British Pound)

Go to Donatello's, even if its just for the chocolate mouse!
